Independent lift engineering, built around our clients' requirements

DAUTI LIFTS is a London-based independent lift engineering contractor providing installation, modernisation, maintenance, repairs and lift removal services across London and within the M25. We work on new developments and existing buildings, supporting clients across residential, commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality, retail, industrial and public-sector environments.

Our work brings together practical engineering experience, technical knowledge and an understanding of the demands involved in working within different buildings. From planning a new installation to resolving problems with existing equipment, we take an active role in assessing what is required, identifying suitable solutions and delivering the work to a professional standard.

We believe that good engineering is about more than completing the work. It is about making sound decisions, taking responsibility for the quality of what we deliver and understanding how our work affects the people who own, manage and use the building.

A practical, engineering-led approach to every project

Every lift project comes with its own requirements, whether we're working on a new installation, upgrading existing equipment or carrying out repairs. Our approach starts with understanding what you need to achieve, the condition and capabilities of the equipment involved, and any building or operational requirements that need to be considered.

From there, we work to establish a clear scope, identify practical engineering solutions and plan the work around the requirements of your project. We consider how the work will be carried out, how it interfaces with the building and what is needed to deliver a safe, reliable result.

Throughout the work, we maintain communication with our clients, address technical challenges as they arise and take responsibility for the quality of our workmanship. Our aim is to make the process straightforward for you, with clear expectations, considered engineering decisions and work delivered to the agreed requirements.

Our Core Values

The standards we set for ourselves influence how we approach every project, from the decisions we make during planning to the quality of the work we deliver.

Our core values reflect the responsibilities we take seriously as a lift engineering contractor and the level of service we aim to provide to every client.

1. Safety

We place safety at the centre of our engineering work, from assessing risks and planning activities to carrying out installations, maintenance and repairs. Our responsibility extends to our engineers, our clients and everyone who may be affected by the work.

2. Engineering Standards

We work to applicable technical requirements and established engineering practices, paying attention to the details that affect safety, performance and long-term reliability. Our clients can expect work approached with technical care, not simply the quickest available solution.

3. Accountability

We take responsibility for the work we undertake, the decisions we make and the commitments we agree with our clients. When an issue needs attention, we believe in addressing it directly and working towards a practical resolution.

4. Quality of Workmanship

The quality of an installation, upgrade or repair depends on how the work is carried out. We pay attention to execution, installation details and finishing, with the aim of delivering work that performs as intended and stands up to everyday operation.

5. Engineering-Led Decisions

We base our recommendations on the technical requirements of the lift, its condition and the needs of the building. Whether equipment can be retained, repaired, upgraded or needs replacing, our focus is on identifying an appropriate solution rather than recommending unnecessary work.

6. Clear Scope

We believe clients should understand what work is proposed, what it includes and what needs to be considered before proceeding. A clearly defined scope helps establish expectations, manage project requirements and reduce avoidable misunderstandings.

7. Communication

We keep communication practical and relevant, discussing requirements, explaining technical matters and keeping clients informed about issues that may affect their work. Clear communication helps clients make decisions and manage their buildings with greater confidence.

8. Practical Solutions

Not every engineering challenge calls for the same approach. We consider the available options, building constraints, operational needs and longer-term implications to develop solutions that are workable, proportionate and appropriate for the project.

Safety is part of how we work

Working on lift systems requires careful consideration of the risks involved, the conditions within the building and the people who may be affected by the work. We take these responsibilities seriously, incorporating health and safety considerations into how we assess, plan and carry out our engineering activities.

Our approach includes identifying potential hazards, establishing appropriate working procedures and taking account of the specific conditions of each site. Whether we're undertaking a new installation, modernising existing equipment or attending to a lift fault, we focus on carrying out the work safely while considering the needs of the building and its occupants.

DAUTI LIFTS is SafeContractor Approved, demonstrating that our health and safety management arrangements have been independently assessed against recognised criteria. This provides our clients with additional assurance when appointing us and supports the health and safety requirements involved in contractor procurement.
